Tomsyck > An old photo from of a marching formation in Heilbronn, Germany. I bought this photo in eBay in August 2008. It has no date on it but it looks like it is in the series of another photo that is posted here from 12 Nov 1938.
Tomsyck > This is a duplicate postcard posted in this gallery. Here, you see that the Swastikas are visibile on the flags on this postcard. This is the entrance to Priesterwald Kaserne, which was later the secondary gate to Wharton Barracks. (e.g. used when the 237th went to the field) I believe the 2 buildings on the right are still standing today and can be seen on google earth & maps. I bought this postcard in eBay in July 2008, it is postmarked 1 APR 1942.

Tomsyck > Various shots from Schlieffen Kaserne in Heilbronn, which was merged with Priesterwald Kaserne after WWII to form Wharton Barracks. The 237th Engineer Battalion was not housed in these buildings. Three of the buidings still stand today - please see my "Heilbronn Today" gallery for photos of those buildings. I purchased this postcard in eBay in November 2007.
