A rare collection of old postcards and original photographs of Schlieffen Kaserne and Priesterwald Kaserne in Heilbronn, Germany - where the two Kaserne were merged to form Wharton Barracks after WWII.
This is a duplicate postcard posted in this gallery. Here, you see that the Swastikas are visibile on the flags on this postcard. This is the entrance to Priesterwald Kaserne, which was later the secondary gate to Wharton Barracks. (e.g. used when the 237th went to the field) I believe the 2 buildings on the right are still standing today and can be seen on google earth & maps. I bought this postcard in eBay in July 2008, it is postmarked 1 APR 1942.
