A rare collection of old postcards and original photographs of Schlieffen Kaserne and Priesterwald Kaserne in Heilbronn, Germany - where the two Kaserne were merged to form Wharton Barracks after WWII.
Photo 1 of 14. I bought a small photo album in ebay in Sept 2007 that included 14 original photos from 1939 of a unit stationed at Prieserwald Kaserne in Heilbronn (later known as Wharton Barracks - the home of the 237th Engineer Battalion), and it looks like they deployed for an unknown length of time to training area Münsingen which was approximately 125 kilometers south of Heilbronn. The text that I write for the remaining 13 photos is just based on my assumptions that a camera man accompanied this unit as they deployed to Münsingen back in 1939.
